Billionaire venture capitalist Tim Draper said Bitcoin could reach his $250,000 price target around the next halving, which is anticipated around April 2028 when the block reward falls at block 1,050,000. The target would represent roughly a threefold increase from Bitcoin's price of about $84,350 at the time of writing. Draper attributes the potential rise to reduced issuance and lower selling pressure from miners. He also said corporate treasuries should hold about six months of employee payroll in Bitcoin, revising upward the two-to-four-week cushion he previously considered sufficient, and called Apple and Meta irresponsible for holding no Bitcoin. His comments come as corporate shareholders continue to reject Bitcoin treasury proposals, citing volatility, custody, regulatory and accounting risks. Bitcoin remained about 25% below its level a year earlier but had recovered from a June low that Grayscale Research described as the cycle bottom.
