Pentair investors have until October 2, 2026, to seek lead-plaintiff appointment in a securities class action concerning alleged disclosures about the company’s 80/20 program and its impact on the Pool business. Rosen Law Firm reiterated the deadline in a September 22 notice covering purchases of Pentair ordinary shares from March 11, 2025, through July 14, 2026, inclusive. Pomerantz LLP previously announced a related investor notice involving Pentair and certain officers and/or directors. The litigation follows Pentair’s July 14 announcement of preliminary second-quarter 2026 results and reduced full-year guidance. The company expected second-quarter sales of about $930 million, down 17% from its previous guide for approximately 1% growth, with diluted EPS from continuing operations of about $0.80 versus prior guidance of $1.39 to $1.42. Adjusted EPS was expected at approximately $1.12, compared with a previous guide of $1.47 to $1.50. Pentair also cut its full-year sales outlook to a decline of approximately 4% to 7%, from earlier guidance for growth of 2% to 4%, citing Pool-channel inventory effects and IEEPA refunds. Shares fell $11.35, or 15%, to close at $64.33 on July 15. The lawsuit alleges that Pentair’s 80/20 program alienated Pool customers, caused market-share losses, encouraged excess inventory purchases and involved rebates that shifted sales into earlier periods. No class has been certified.
