Skyworks Solutions shares reached a fresh 52-week high of $92.36 on Wednesday, extending gains of approximately 34% over the past month, 45% year to date and 67% over six months. The rally has been driven largely by investor expectations surrounding the company’s proposed $22 billion merger with Qorvo rather than a new operational update. Chief Executive Phil Brace said Skyworks is in the final stages of the transaction, which would create a larger radio-frequency and connectivity chipmaker, while executives anticipate completion during calendar 2026. Skyworks has proposed exchanging up to $850 million of Qorvo senior notes due in 2029 and $700 million of bonds maturing in 2031 for newly issued Skyworks debt, with the exchange deadline extended to September 25. Recent quarterly revenue reached $935 million and adjusted earnings were $1.08 per share, both above analyst expectations. Investors are also weighing about $2 billion of acquisition-related debt financing and a $2 billion buyback program against execution, regulatory, integration, financing and valuation risks.
