Thunes has been selected by J.P. Morgan Payments to expand cross-border payment capabilities through its Xpedite Remit solutions. The service combines J.P. Morgan Payments' connections to local real-time payment networks with Thunes' Direct Global Network, enabling faster transfers to bank accounts and mobile wallets across more than 100 corridors. Customers will have access to capital protection, end-to-end tracking and payments in the same currency or with seamless foreign-exchange conversion, using one account and one connection. The network covers 12 billion mobile wallets and bank accounts, while JPMorganChase's Consumer and Community Bank will use the expanded infrastructure for faster payments and real-time inbound transfers to the United States. The initial rollout supports supplier settlements, bill payments and money transfers in markets including India, Mexico, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Colombia, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan and the Philippines.
