Xanadu Quantum Technologies Limited appointed Tara Deakin as Chief People Officer on September 22, 2026, strengthening its executive team as the photonic quantum computing company scales. Rebecca Laramée, the current Chief People Officer, will become Senior Vice President of Human Resources and work with Deakin on workforce initiatives. Deakin previously served as Chief People Officer and Executive Vice President at Spin Master and held leadership roles at Spin Master, TD Bank Group, Citi and Rogers Communications. Separately, Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Christian Weedbrook sold 4.6 million Class B Subordinate Voting Shares for approximately C$32.83 million for personal financial planning. He converted an equal number of Class A Multiple Voting Shares before the sale, leaving him with 41,832,704 Class A shares and 18,593 Class B shares, representing approximately 25.06% of voting power.
