Arch Lending plans to offer loans backed by tokenized equities as onchain stocks gain traction as collateral. Co-founder and chief revenue officer Himanshu Sahay said the lender intends to enter the market pretty soon, citing limited credit availability for rapidly growing tokenized stocks. Arch has already expanded into tokenized real-world assets with loans backed by Paxos Gold and Tether Gold, although Bitcoin still represents more than 80% of its loan book. Interest in XRP as collateral is also increasing, particularly among U.S. borrowers. The market is broadening through products from Superstate, Robinhood, Securitize and others, while Ondo Finance, Kraken and Coinbase have introduced additional lending, margin or DeFi-related uses. RWA.xyz data shows distributed tokenized stock value reached about $3.15 billion, up from roughly $630 million a year earlier.
