South Korea’s five largest asset managers — Samsung, Mirae Asset, KB, Korea Investment Management and Shinhan — recommended exchange-traded funds focused mainly on semiconductors and dividend-paying stocks for investors considering how to deploy Chuseok cash gifts. The managers cited structural demand from artificial intelligence investment and the prospect of stable cash flow during high interest rates and market volatility. Semiconductor recommendations included products targeting NAND memory, chip manufacturing, U.S. memory companies, central processing units and broader AI chip supply chains. SOL Semiconductor Front-End Process and KODEX US CPU Semiconductor TOP10 gained 20.63% and 23.93%, respectively, between Aug. 22 and Sept. 23, according to Koscom’s ETF CHECK. Dividend-focused picks included ACE US Dividend Quality and PLUS High Dividend Stocks. Other recommendations covered cosmetics, AI optical communications, power equipment, dollar bonds and actively managed Korean semiconductor-materials companies. Korea Investment Management also previously presented four ACE products under its Chuseok-themed Hongdongbaekseo framework, combining AI semiconductor exposure, shareholder-value investing, the Nasdaq 100 and a U.S. stock-Treasury blend for retirement accounts.
