Binance will begin transferring non-stock crypto assets from Funding Accounts to Spot Accounts on Sept. 29, 2026, ahead of renaming Funding Accounts as Stocks Accounts in January 2027. BNB traded near $761 on Sept. 23, down 3.3% on the day but up 7.4% over seven days, with roughly $1.34 billion in 24-hour volume; available data does not establish that the account announcement caused the decline. The future Stocks Account will be reserved for direct U.S. equities and stock-options settlement using USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U and BNB. Binance will stop accepting on-chain crypto deposits into Funding Accounts, offer a One-Click Migration tool, and automatically move remaining eligible non-stock balances in batches from January 2027. The restructuring also affects Pay, Card, Gift Card, Convert, API and P2P services, while bStocks will move to Spot because they are tokenized instruments rather than direct shares. USDC remains a settlement asset after Binance disclosed a $100 million Circle investment and a five-year commercial agreement.
