Anthropic is in early discussions to lease as much as 1 gigawatt of compute capacity from Stream Data Centers, a data center developer majority-owned by Apollo Global Management. The arrangement would make Anthropic a direct tenant at Stream facilities across the United States and support the deployment of tensor processing units designed by Broadcom and Google. The talks form part of Anthropic’s effort to reduce its reliance on cloud providers.
