OpenRouter has launched its Batch API, an asynchronous service for tasks that do not require immediate results. The offering cuts prices for both input and output tokens by half across most models, supports more than 70 models and promises to return all results within 24 hours. During a two-week testing period, OpenRouter completed more than 230,000 batch tasks, with a median completion time of seven minutes and 90% finished within one hour.
