Diageo has appointed WPP CFO Joanne Wilson as its next chief financial officer, effective in 2027. Wilson will replace Nik Jhangiani, who has been Diageo’s CFO since 2024, and join the company’s board and executive committee. Wilson currently serves as CFO of advertising group WPP and previously held financial and commercial positions at drinks company Britvic. Diageo shares rose 1.49%, while WPP shares gained 0.52%.
