The advance set another all-time closing high and left the benchmark about 1,843 points short of 50,000. Turnover reached NT$855.953 billion, approximately $27.0 billion, while index heavyweight Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (2330.TW) gained NT$40 to finish at NT$2,500.
