General Mills reported fiscal 2027 first-quarter adjusted earnings of $0.75 per share, exceeding the $0.72 analyst estimate, while net sales of $4.39 billion topped the $4.35 billion forecast. Sales fell 3% from a year earlier, largely due to the U.S. yogurt divestiture, while organic net sales were flat. Adjusted gross margin declined 90 basis points to 33.3% as higher raw-material costs outweighed pricing and product-mix gains, and adjusted operating profit fell 11% in constant currency to $634 million. The company reaffirmed fiscal 2027 guidance, including adjusted diluted earnings of $3.00 to $3.20 per share, and said its productivity and transformation initiatives remain on track to produce at least $750 million in savings. The Brazil divestiture completed September 2 is expected to reduce reported fiscal 2027 net sales growth by about 4%, alongside effects from the prior year's 53rd week and currency movements.
