Galaxy Digital added $100 million of Sky Protocol’s sUSDS to its corporate treasury and approved the yield-bearing savings token as collateral across its institutional trading business. The transaction was described as the first known instance of a publicly traded company holding a yield-bearing stablecoin issued by a decentralized finance platform. Clients can pledge sUSDS while continuing to accrue the variable Sky Savings Rate on the full collateral position, but Galaxy and Sky disclosed no figure for client lending secured by the token, no first completed loan and no client uptake. Galaxy’s relationship with the Sky ecosystem also includes Grove’s $500 million USDS warehouse facility, while Sky Frontier Foundation said its agents held about $304 million with Galaxy as of Sept. 1. Existing disclosures said Galaxy serves more than 1,600 trading counterparties, has an average loan book of $1.4 billion and acquired an undisclosed amount of SKY tokens. Sky reported sUSDS supply of $5.52 billion at the end of the second quarter of 2026, up 149% from a year earlier.
