BOE to invest over 80 billion yuan in R&D over five years

BOE plans to increase research and development investment over the next five years.
R&D spending will exceed 80 billion yuan, or approximately $11.9 billion.
Procurement spending will surpass 800 billion yuan, Chairman Chen Yanshun said.

BOE plans to invest more than 80 billion yuan, approximately $11.9 billion, in research and development over the next five years. Procurement spending is also set to exceed 800 billion yuan, Chairman Chen Yanshun said at the BOE Global Innovation Partner Conference 2026, also known as BOE IPC 2026, held on September 22.
