NYSE Group and Blockchain.com signed a memorandum of understanding to explore offering Blockchain.com users tokenized U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds through the New York Stock Exchange's planned digital alternative trading system. The venue has not launched, remains subject to required regulatory approvals and has no announced launch date. NYSE, owned by Intercontinental Exchange, has said the platform is designed for 24/7 trading and instant onchain settlement, while tokenized stocks are blockchain-based tokens representing listed shares. The agreement is intended to broaden NYSE's reach among crypto-native investors through Blockchain.com's global customer base. It also establishes reciprocal data-distribution plans: ICE Data Services plans to provide Blockchain.com's crypto market data and analytics to subscribers, while Blockchain.com plans to add selected NYSE and ICE feeds to its app and its crypto-focused AI assistant, June. Blockchain.com says it has supported more than 95 million wallets, more than 44 million confirmed accounts and over $1.1 trillion in crypto transactions since 2011.
