Rigetti Computing shares gained Wednesday alongside IonQ after IonQ announced plans to install the first on-premise quantum computing system at NVIDIA’s Accelerated Quantum Research Center. IonQ’s Superion 256 will connect directly with an NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 system through NVQLink, while NVIDIA’s CUDA-Q platform will coordinate workloads. The program will support hybrid software development and large-scale system prototyping for portfolio optimization, financial risk modeling, materials science and drug discovery. Rigetti and IonQ are close publicly traded peers whose shares often move together on sector news, particularly developments linking quantum computing with artificial-intelligence infrastructure. Rigetti shares were up 3.93% at $17.17 at publication, according to Benzinga Pro.
