RedotPay’s subsidiary, Red Dot Lending (US), LLC, has received its first two state-level US lending licenses: a Regulated Lender License in Idaho and an Installment Loan Company License in Nebraska. The approvals allow certain lending products in those states once RedotPay begins US operations, but do not authorize lending nationwide or the full use of its payment services. RedotPay has filed more than 20 additional state license applications as it builds a broader US regulatory footprint. Its proposed lending model would use Bitcoin, Ethereum and stablecoins as collateral, giving users access to liquidity without selling their digital assets, while exposing the business to collateral volatility and credit-risk challenges. The expansion comes as crypto-collateralized loans totaled $56.16 billion in the second quarter of 2026, down about 40% from a $78.7 billion peak in the third quarter of 2025, according to Galaxy Research. RedotPay says its platform serves more than 8 million users and has processed over $14 billion, providing an existing payments network for its lending strategy. The company also cites a recent state-level US Money Transmitter License, an independent review of anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing controls at its licensed Hong Kong subsidiaries, ISO/IEC 27001 certification, PCI DSS compliance and SOC 2 Type II certification. RedotPay expects stablecoin-powered cards to reach $50 billion in annualized spend by 2028.
