Lumentum said demand for UHP lasers (ultra-high-power lasers) used in Nvidia's Spectrum-6 CPO (co-packaged optics) has increased significantly and remains above supply. The company also said NPO (near-package optics) is larger in scale than CPO, while multi-wavelength external lasers could raise average selling prices. Separately, Win Semi is expanding continuous-wave laser capacity, with products expected to roll out gradually in the second half of 2026 and potentially generate substantial revenue in 2027 and 2028.
