Peter Brandt’s long-term Ethereum chart identifies $5,000 as the key threshold before an eventual move toward $8,600. ETH was trading at $2,717.89 as of writing, making a rise to $5,000 an increase of about 84%. Brandt’s chart labels a higher level at $8,674.50, while his Sept. 21 post described the target as $8,600. The outlook comes alongside buying from large wallets and corporate treasuries. A wallet linked to an early participant in Ethereum’s initial coin offering bought 8,492.8 ETH for about $23.7 million on Sept. 21. Bitmine Immersion Technologies added 27,562 ETH during the preceding week, taking its reported holdings to 5,983,940 ETH, and said it had placed 5,067,309 ETH, or about 85% of its holdings, in staking (locking crypto with validators to earn rewards). U.S. spot ether exchange-traded funds recorded $270 million in net inflows on Sept. 21, after $143.7 million on Sept. 18.
