Mynt, the company behind Philippine mobile wallet GCash, has begun accepting investor orders for an initial public offering that could raise up to 92.3 billion pesos ($1.5 billion), including an overallotment option. The deal would surpass Monde Nissin’s 55.89 billion peso offering in 2021 as the country’s largest IPO. Mynt plans to offer up to 8.03 billion shares at a maximum 10 pesos each, with up to 1.2 billion additional shares available if demand warrants. More than 20 cornerstone investors, including BlackRock and T. Rowe Price, have committed 36.5 billion pesos, or nearly 68.8% of the base offering. The IPO values Mynt at as much as 669 billion pesos, above BDO Unibank’s market capitalization. The offering is predominantly a sale by existing shareholders, including Ant Group, while about 30% of proceeds will go to Mynt for lending expansion and new products. The offer runs from October 6 to October 12, with pricing expected around October 1 and trading scheduled to begin October 20 under the ticker GCASH. Mynt says GCash has about 90 million registered users and processed 17 trillion pesos in gross transaction value in 2025.
