Apple's September 9 unveiling of the foldable iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro series has translated into strong launch demand in India, where customers formed long queues outside stores on Friday and some waited overnight. Despite the devices' high prices, interest in the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max has exceeded demand for the iPhone 17. India is the world's second-largest smartphone market by volume, led by Chinese manufacturers and Samsung, while Apple's market share is set to reach double digits for the first time. The company did not introduce a successor to last year's ultra-thin iPhone Air.
