Hedera contributes CLPR cross-ledger protocol to Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust

  • Hedera donated Hashgraph’s CLPR protocol to Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust.
  • CLPR uses direct cryptographic state proofs instead of bridges or federated validators.
  • Hashgraph’s program tests settlement, cross-border payments and collateral transfers using test assets.

Hedera has donated CLPR, Hashgraph’s Cross-Ledger Protocol, to Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (LFDT), moving the interoperability technology into the neutral LFDT Labs environment. CLPR is designed to let independent ledgers verify one another’s transactions through direct cryptographic state proofs, without external bridges, federated validators or custodial liquidity contracts. The code will be available through LFDT’s official repositories for auditing, testing and deployment. Hashgraph is also inviting regulated financial institutions, fintech firms, institutional asset issuers and global liquidity providers to a three-phase early adopter program using a Hashgraph-hosted testnet and test assets. The trials will cover cross-ledger settlement, cross-border payments with in-flight foreign-exchange conversion and collateral transfers. An LFDT Labs architectural session is planned to outline governance standards and initial contribution guidelines.
