Meta plans to offer a large number of Muse tokens at no cost and eventually earn revenue through small transaction fees, Mark Zuckerberg said at the company’s Meta Connect conference. Meta chief AI officer Alexandr Wang announced PayPal support and integrations with Walmart, Best Buy, The Gap, Sephora, Wayfair, American Eagle, Expedia and Instacart. Muse is also gaining computer control on Mac devices and access through Meta VR Glasses and the upcoming Muse Charm handheld, which Zuckerberg said will be available in time for the holidays. The app debuted on Sept. 8 and reached 560,000 daily active users after 11 days, according to Sensor Tower, becoming the top app on Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store. Its early traction helped send Meta shares 11% higher on Monday, while Wells Fargo and KeyBanc Capital Markets raised their price targets on the company.
