Coldcard owners can search their public Bitcoin addresses on the Crypto Recovery Trust website for possible claims tied to Bitcoin recovered after a Coldcard seed-generation flaw. Galaxy Digital research head Alex Thorn linked a Sept. 21 transaction in block 967,948 to about 52.37 BTC from Coldcard-related wallet clusters, matching the just-over-50 BTC recovery disclosed by digital asset recovery firm DART in August rather than representing a second rescue. The batch was worth more than $4 million and equaled 2.8% of the exploit funds tracked by Galaxy. Thorn also identified 3.0134 BTC sent to the same destination from previously untracked addresses, although its Coldcard origin remains unconfirmed. A public-address match can begin a claim, but returns depend on recovery records, chain of custody, proof of ownership, source-of-funds and exchange records. Sanctions, competing claims and other restrictions may affect payouts, and ownership checks and victim payouts had not been completed. Users should never submit seed phrases, private keys, PINs or recovery codes through a web form. Bitcoin traded at about $83,370 at the time of reporting, down 3% over 24 hours.
