Anchorage Digital has selected LayerZero as its interoperability partner for stablecoin issuance, linking tokens issued through Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A. to LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard. The arrangement is designed to provide institutional issuers with one route for moving dollar tokens across more than 170 blockchains, without relying on wrapped assets or third-party bridge liquidity. Tether’s USAT is the first Anchorage-issued stablecoin to use the integration, with transfers expected across Ethereum, EVM-compatible networks and Solana. Anchorage’s platform also supports Western Union’s USDPT, OSL Group’s USDGO and Falcon Finance’s fUSD, although LayerZero has not announced activation dates or destination-chain lists for those assets. LayerZero says OFT has processed about $280 billion in lifetime transfers, representing roughly 87% of cross-chain volume. Anchorage remains responsible for regulated issuance under Office of the Comptroller of the Currency supervision and continues monthly reserve attestations. The companies are targeting cross-border payments, institutional trading, on-chain lending and treasury management as banks expand their use of stablecoin settlement infrastructure.
