Binance and Bybit are running separate promotions that reward holders of Ripple USD (RLUSD) with XRP tokens. Binance’s four-week campaign starts September 25 and distributes $800,000 worth of XRP, with payouts each Friday through October 23 to eligible users across Spot, Funding, Earn and Margin accounts. Bybit’s separate promotion offers 800,000 XRP. Binance requires users to hold at least 0.01 RLUSD, uses hourly snapshots and daily lowest balances, and calculates weekly rewards from a seven-day average and an effective APR published each Friday. RLUSD obtained by borrowing other stablecoins in Margin receives a 60% haircut, while restricted users and users in listed jurisdictions including the US, UK, EU countries and Canada are excluded. RLUSD’s market capitalization has risen from $1.51 billion when Binance launched its XRP rewards campaign to about $2.37 billion, after an earlier figure of almost $2.45 billion. XRP rose more than 20% from a September 17 low near $1.25, briefly reached $1.66 on September 23 and was last trading at $1.51 after retreating ahead of monthly crypto options expiry. Total XRP futures open interest fell nearly 9% to $3.60 billion over 24 hours, while trading volume declined 18%. On the XRP Ledger, the PermissionDelegationV1_1 amendment entered a 14-day activation period with support from 29 of 35 trusted validators and could activate on October 5 at about 11:18 UTC if support holds.
