Trading volume for real-world asset (RWA) perpetual contracts on decentralized exchanges reached $365 billion in Q3 2026, up 32% from the previous quarter, CryptoRank reported on Sept. 24. Public-equity contracts generated about $175 billion, or nearly 48% of the total. Monthly activity fell after July's record $141 billion, with August volume declining 13.5% to $122 billion and September also recording a decline, but quarterly growth remained positive. Perpetual DEX open interest reached a record $19 billion, while RWA venues offered more than 1,000 markets. RWA perpetuals provide derivative exposure to stocks, commodities and indexes without granting ownership, dividends or voting rights in the underlying assets.
