Amazon plans to invest $3 billion in India’s quick commerce business by 2030, including $1 billion by the end of 2027 and a further $2 billion through 2030. The funding will expand Amazon Now’s neighbourhood warehouse network, improve inventory management and demand forecasting, and broaden daily-essentials availability. Amazon currently operates about 750 quick commerce stores and is targeting roughly 1,300 locations by April. Its annualised gross sales from the business exceed $1 billion. Amazon holds 6.2% of India’s quick commerce market, behind Blinkit, Swiggy and Zepto, which together control 77%, while Flipkart has an 11% share. The sector is valued at about $19 billion and could reach $41 billion by 2030. Amazon.com Inc. traded at $249.35, up 0.03%, after recovering from an intraday low near $246 and approaching the $250 resistance level.
