IBM has launched an ISO 20022 (standardized financial messaging format) adapter that allows financial institutions to instruct tokenized deposits through standard payment messages. Financial institutions participating in a Swift project have used Digital Asset Haven to test tokenized deposits on Swift's shared ledger, which supports bank-issued tokenized deposits as well as 24/7 digital-asset transfers and final settlement among participating institutions. IBM also introduced a beta local-deployment version of Digital Asset Haven for IBM Z and LinuxONE. It allows customers to manage stablecoins, tokenized deposits and other digital assets without relying on a public cloud, while keeping the key-management layer in their own environments and protecting it with IBM Crypto Express hardware security modules.
