Lowe's initiated a drone delivery pilot on September 24, 2026, at its Matthews, North Carolina, store through a collaboration with DoorDash and Alphabet's Wing. Customers can order more than 100 items through a dedicated DoorDash storefront, including hand tools, painting supplies, tape, batteries and cleaning products. Deliveries are designed to arrive in about 20 minutes, with drones carrying payloads of up to 2.5 pounds to addresses within five miles of the store. The program makes Lowe's the first home improvement chain to offer drone-based deliveries to consumers and adds to its existing pickup, curbside and same-day delivery options. LOW shares fell about 2% after the announcement. Lowe's said it will assess operating data and customer feedback before deciding whether to adjust or expand the service. Wall Street has a Moderate Buy consensus based on 16 Buy ratings and seven Holds, with an average price target of $253.50, implying about 33% upside; the highest target is $275.
