ARK Invest has brought its approximately $1.3 billion ARK Venture Fund, or ARKVX, onchain through Securitize, making it the firm's first formally tokenized fund. Tokenized Class D interests went live on Ethereum on Sept. 24, with Securitize overseeing issuance and the investor experience. ARKVX is an actively managed closed-end interval fund investing in private and public technology companies, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe and Databricks. The token represents an interest in the fund rather than direct blockchain ownership of its portfolio companies. Eligible investors pay in USDC and receive tokens after the fund sets net asset value. Securitize plans to publish a daily NAV and allow tokenized interests to trade on blockchain-based markets, while ARK's disclosures continue to limit fund liquidity to periodic repurchase offers that can be oversubscribed. The initiative builds on ARK's strategic investment in Securitize in October 2025.
