The Cardano Foundation and Fireblocks announced on September 24, 2026, that Fireblocks will provide native support for Cardano Native Tokens (CNTs) by March 2027. The integration will allow exchanges, banks and fintechs using Fireblocks to custody, send and receive CNTs under the platform's existing policy controls and security architecture, rather than relying on manual handling or raw-signing workarounds. Fireblocks secures roughly $16 trillion in digital asset transactions and serves thousands of banks, fintechs and asset managers worldwide. ADA has been supported on the platform since August 2021, while other Cardano-based tokens lacked comparable institutional infrastructure. The rollout will cover assets conforming to CIP-26, the Cardano Token Registry, and CIP-68, Cardano's on-chain metadata standard, including stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets being built on the network. Institutions will also use Fireblocks' multi-party computation, or MPC, which distributes private-key control to reduce single-point-of-compromise risk. The Cardano Foundation credited Emurgo, Pentad and Iagon with helping complete the integration. Cardano had already gained staking and governance functionality through a May 2026 integration with Iagon, while the Fireblocks agreement addresses custody and transfer. The planned March 2027 launch allows roughly six months for technical certification and compliance review.
