Bitget confirmed that unauthorized transfers from parts of its hot and warm wallet infrastructure affected approximately $351.6 million in crypto on September 24, 2026. CEO Gracy Chen said the exchange detected the activity at 18:31 UTC, activated emergency response procedures within minutes, and would cover the full loss through its User Protection Fund, which holds more than $464 million. Bitget said cold wallets remain secure, account balances are accurate, and customer assets are protected. Withdrawals are temporarily suspended, while deposits and trading continue. The exchange has flagged abnormal transfer addresses, notified law enforcement and onchain security firms, and plans hourly updates followed by a full incident report within 24 hours. The attack vector has not been disclosed.
