Aero, the unified DeFi liquidity layer developed by Dromos Labs through the merger of Aerodrome and Velodrome, will launch on Oct. 21, 2026, across Base, Ethereum Mainnet, OP Mainnet, Arc, Ink, Robinhood Chain and Arbitrum. The predecessors account for roughly 17% of all EVM spot trading volume. Aero will use MetaDEX03 technology and its Metaswaps feature to enable cross-chain token swaps, while a single AERO token will replace the former protocols' separate governance and incentive systems. The model will distribute 100% of exchange revenue to AERO stakers, with sAERO holders directing liquidity rewards through Predictive Allocation. The launch follows 10 months of development, an audit contest that identified no major issues, and the deployment of Aero Lite on Arc. The platform will also support permissionless token launches and liquidity-launchpad programs.
