Moderna shares reached roughly $198 on Friday, surpassing their previous 52-week high of $195.71 as investors focused on upcoming clinical data for intismeran autogene, the company’s investigational mRNA-based individualized neoantigen therapy. The stock was up 1.64% at $198.02 at publication after rising nearly 7% on Thursday, when Moderna said three abstracts had been accepted for the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress in Madrid in late October. The lead abstract, scheduled for the Presidential Symposium, will present late-stage results from the INTerpath-001 trial evaluating intismeran with Merck’s Keytruda, or pembrolizumab, in melanoma patients. Two additional abstracts cover pancreatic cancer and early-stage non-small cell lung cancer. Bernstein SocGen Group analyst Courtney Breen maintained a Market Perform rating and $45 price target, while acknowledging that intismeran has provided the strongest validation so far for mRNA-based cancer treatments. Moderna has nine studies of the therapy underway across additional cancer types. The company has a $77.78 billion market capitalization, and its shares have gained 655.41% over the past 12 months, with momentum ranked in the 99th percentile by Benzinga’s Edge Stock Rankings.
