Tesla shared a teaser for its upcoming Roadster, showing what appears to be a front LED light bar and the words "Roadster" and "X," while saying, "See you next week." The imagery's possible connection to Space Exploration Technologies Corp. remains unclear, although Elon Musk has previously said the car could use SpaceX-developed cold-gas thrusters (gas-powered propulsion devices). Reports in August said a system could place 10 thrusters where the rear seats normally sit, using technology associated with altitude control during Falcon 9 landings. Separately, Tesla said the Semi had entered high-volume production. Musk described the truck as a "revolutionary" vehicle resembling a "sports car in truck form," with access to Tesla's Megacharger network (high-power electric truck charging) and autonomous driving technology. Tesla said it is targeting annual production of 50,000 Semis at its 1.8 million-square-foot facility. Einride AB has ordered 500 trucks, with CEO Roozbeh Charli saying 75 will be delivered by the end of 2026. Morgan Stanley analyst Andrew Percoco estimated the Semi opportunity could add roughly $80 billion to Tesla's market value in a bull-case scenario. Tesla also says the truck requires less maintenance than a conventional diesel model. The company separately promoted locally sourced nickel cathodes for Cybercab batteries produced at its Texas Gigafactory and said its vehicles have the highest American-made or American-sourced content among rivals. Tesla shares rose 0.38% to $379.32 in overnight trading on Thursday.
