Travala has launched a permanent strategic reserve for AVA and will match the AVA Foundation’s monthly open-market buybacks. In the inaugural cycle, each entity purchased 369,881.04 AVA, bringing the combined acquisition to 739,762.08 tokens. The Foundation says it has previously repurchased more than 4.8 million AVA. Travala says tokens purchased for its reserve will be held permanently and not sold or transferred, though they remain onchain rather than being destroyed through a protocol-level burn. The company already uses AVA for discounts, rewards and its Smart loyalty program, while the reserve adds a corporate treasury commitment to the token. The organizations will disclose purchase activity monthly, making the continuation of the program a key measure of Travala’s commitment.
