Strategy is asking common shareholders to approve daily dividend record dates for its STRC, STRF, STRK and STRD preferred shares at a virtual special meeting on October 28. Record dates would occur every calendar day, including weekends and holidays, while payments would generally be made on the next business day, without changing dividend rates or total dividend obligations. STRC would transition first, with its initial daily payment scheduled for November 2, followed by STRF, STRK and STRD on January 4, 2027. The proposal follows pressure on STRC, whose 12% annual dividend has not restored trading to its $100 reference level since May. Chief Executive Officer Phong Le said unanticipated leveraged trading contributed to the decline, as Bitcoin-backed borrowers were forced to sell STRC or post collateral when Bitcoin fell. Strategy has repurchased about $1 billion of preferred shares under a $2 billion authorization and says it intends to support STRC purchases below $100 while building cash reserves and attracting longer-term institutional investors.
