NetApp announced plans to acquire PEAK:AIO, referred to as PEAK in the announcement, as it expands its AI infrastructure capabilities. The proposed transaction would add advanced metadata architecture and parallel file-system technology to NetApp’s ONTAP platform, supporting massive file environments, multi-exabyte deployments and demanding computing workloads. PEAK’s architecture separates metadata services from stored data to improve scalability and global file access. NetApp shares gained 1.48% to $200.16 after the announcement. The release did not provide a purchase price, closing date or other transaction terms.
