The XRP Ledger Batch upgrade has been delayed to October 9 after validator support (approval from network operators) fell below the required 80% threshold, resetting its mandatory two-week countdown. Support had been building since September 15 but the upgrade lost qualification when trusted validators temporarily withdrew backing. It is the second activation attempt for Batch after developers withdrew the original version because of a critical signature-checking flaw; a corrected implementation was released in August with ledger software version 3.3.0. PermissionDelegationV1_1 also had its support reset on September 23, moving its earliest possible activation to October 8 at about 21:25 UTC. The feature allows account owners to delegate specific operational duties without sharing fund-control signing keys, enabling businesses to separate payment and compliance responsibilities across accounts. Both upgrades must retain uninterrupted validator support above 80% for two consecutive weeks before activation.
