Aave founder and CEO Stani said the protocol measures its potential market through "addressable collateral," meaning the range of assets that can be used as collateral. A wider eligible asset base would create a larger potential lending market, he said. Aave began with crypto-asset lending, then expanded into securities through Coinbase Tokenized Stocks and Horizon RWA (real-world assets). Stani said the platform will eventually target solar power, batteries, GPUs, robots and space infrastructure. He expects the transformation to continue through 2050 and said Aave aims to accelerate it by about 10 years by financing assets linked to what he called the "era of abundance."
