Bitcoin is holding above $80,000 after touching about $87,500 and trading at $84,647 on Sunday, keeping alive Fidelity global macro director Jurrien Timmer’s view that a break above the level would confirm a double-bottom pattern targeting $100,000. Timmer’s weekly chart marks lows of $60,033 in February and $57,742 in late June, while his power-law model points to $300,000 in 2029 if Bitcoin holds above $60,000. Futures speculators recently reached a record net-long position, adding to bullish exposure after prices rose. Other signals remain mixed, including weaker spot demand and exchange-traded fund flows; CryptoQuant’s bull-market line is $81,700, leaving Bitcoin with a narrow cushion above that level. Bitcoin gained 24.95% in August, while spot BTC ETFs recorded more than $134 million in assets on Friday.
