Bitget has increased its confirmed estimate of assets transferred to attacker-controlled addresses to about $387.5 million from $351.6 million, attributing the change to transaction tracing rather than additional unauthorized transfers. The exchange says it identified and remediated the vulnerability, with Mandiant and SlowMist assisting the investigation. Bitget says client balances remain intact and its Claims Protection Fund covers the losses. Bitcoin withdrawals are scheduled to resume on Sept. 28, followed by Ether on Sept. 29, USDT on Sept. 30 and other tokens, fiat services and peer-to-peer withdrawals by Oct. 2.
