LG Electronics has been selected as an official partner for Nvidia’s artificial intelligence data center cooling solutions, strengthening its position in AI infrastructure. Nvidia recently approved LG’s 2.5-megawatt coolant distribution unit for deployment on its DSX AI factory platform, following certification of 600-kilowatt and 1-megawatt models. LG entered the data center cooling market in 2011 and supplies air- and water-cooled chillers as well as CDUs that circulate coolant around servers. Analysts estimate the company secured about 600 billion won ($430 million) in data center cooling orders during the first half of this year. With revenue recognized six to nine months after orders, the business is expected to represent about 20% of the Eco Solution division’s revenue starting next year. LG Electronics rose to 219,000 won, up 4.04%, as of 9:20 a.m. on the 28th, extending an earlier gain to lift LG Group affiliates in early trading.
