Centralized cryptocurrency exchanges recorded net Bitcoin outflows of 31,782 BTC, worth approximately $2.52 billion, over seven days. Binance accounted for about 19,500 BTC, including a single-day net withdrawal exceeding 13,800 BTC, while Coinbase Pro and Kraken recorded roughly 6,700 BTC and 2,816 BTC, respectively. Existing Coinglass data cited by PANews put the precise outflows at 19,500.28 BTC for Binance, 6,700.6 BTC for Coinbase Pro, 2,816.41 BTC for Kraken and 2,139.59 BTC for Bitfinex. CryptoQuant analysts described the Binance withdrawals as consistent with accumulation and movement into self-custody rather than panic selling. Bitcoin traded in the mid-$80,000s after retreating from a recent high near $87,400. Historical data from Glassnode and CryptoQuant has linked rising exchange outflows with reduced sell-side liquidity, while reported inflows into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have created a parallel source of institutional demand. The interaction between self-custody withdrawals and ETF-related custody flows remains a developing market dynamic since U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs launched in early 2024.
