GIWA denies mainnet launch as fake chain linked to more than 766 ETH in bridge losses

GIWA confirmed that the circulated GIWA Mainnet was a scammer-built fake chain and that its official mainnet has not launched.
The fraudulent bridge collected more than 766 ETH after using legitimate chain ID 9134, with funds moving among addresses ending in 4134, 6b60 and 3da4.
DYORSWAP will compensate addresses bridging less than 5 ETH at 40%, while larger cases receive separate reviews for suspected fraudulent activity.

GIWA said its Ethereum Layer 2 mainnet has not launched and confirmed that the previously circulated GIWA Mainnet was a fake chain built by scammers. Official documentation lists only GIWA Sepolia testnet access, including sepolia-rpc.giwa.io, while mainnet infrastructure and contracts remain under development. The fake network used the legitimate GIWA chain ID 9134 and was linked to a fraudulent cross-chain bridge that collected more than 766 ETH. DYORSWAP completed its review of affected addresses and said addresses that bridged less than 5 ETH will receive compensation at a 40% rate, while addresses involving more than 5 ETH will undergo separate reviews because some may involve phishing or fraudulent bridge operations. The official compensation address is 0xdf25f88aa6cde9937fdcfcf10fa349528c79dbf9, and DYORSWAP said it will not ask users to transfer funds or pay fees.
