Riot Platforms repaid and terminated its $200 million secured credit facility with Coinbase Credit on September 21, 2026, releasing Bitcoin, USD Coin and cash pledged as collateral. Riot paid the remaining principal and interest without early termination fees or penalties, ending a facility extended through April 20, 2027 at a fixed 6.15% annual rate. The facility began as a $100 million agreement in April 2025 and was increased to $200 million the following month. Riot had fully drawn the multiple-drawdown term loan, using proceeds for strategic initiatives, general corporate purposes and data-center capital expenditures. Riot's filings show the Bitcoin collateral requirement changed with market prices. The company added 1,825 Bitcoin in February 2026, bringing pledged collateral to 5,802 Bitcoin, while an earlier disclosure cited 5,821 pledged Bitcoin at repayment. The release gives Riot control over the Bitcoin, USDC and cash previously held by Coinbase Custody Trust Company. The repayment comes as Riot develops data-center operations alongside cryptocurrency mining. Riot reported $167.2 million in first-quarter revenue, including $33.2 million from its new data-center business, and announced a 20-year, 191-megawatt Rockdale lease expected to produce about $9.1 billion of initial-term contract revenue. Bloomberg identified Anthropic as the tenant, though Riot did not name the customer in its own announcement.
