South Korea's autumn apartment presale market is set to accelerate after the Chuseok holiday, with 38,032 units across 50 complexes scheduled for October, according to real estate platform Zigbang on the 28th. The total is 14,365 units, or 61%, higher than the 23,667 units planned across 26 complexes a year earlier. General subscription will account for 32,133 units, up 75% from October last year. About two-thirds of the planned supply is in the Seoul metropolitan area, led by Gyeonggi Province with 16,043 units, followed by Incheon with 6,921 and Seoul with 1,654. Outside the capital region, 13,414 units are scheduled, led by South Chungcheong Province, Busan and North Chungcheong Province. September's actual supply reached 20,062 of 22,704 planned units, an 88% completion rate, while 16,883 of 18,643 planned general-subscription units reached the market. Zigbang said subscription results will vary by complex according to location, presale prices and nearby market prices, while demand in October will help determine the direction of the autumn market.
