Bank of America launched coverage of IonQ with a Buy rating and a $60 price target, which the latest report said represented roughly 32% upside from the quantum-computing company's latest close. Earlier market data showed IonQ shares up 3.65% at $47.14 on Monday, a level from which the same target implied about 27% upside. BofA Securities identified IonQ as the largest publicly traded pure-play quantum company by revenue and said its semiconductor-based trapped-ion design could offer a scalable route for quantum systems. Its investment case centers on the planned Superion 256 system, which combines Oxford Ionics electronic qubit-control technology with SkyWater fabrication and packaging. IonQ expects customer deliveries to begin in the second quarter of 2027. BofA forecasts sales rising from $130 million in 2025 to $455 million in 2026 and $3.7 billion in 2030, while warning of acquisition-integration challenges, negative free cash flow through 2030, possible dilution and engineering-delivery risks.
